1. Greening the Landscape: Planting Local Medicinal and Fruit Plants
Ticvic employee volunteers gathered on 15th July 2022 to plant tree saplings near Urapakkam Lake. The focus of the CSR drive was on planting indigenous medicinal and fruit plants, fostering biodiversity and ecological balance. By choosing local plant species, Ticvic aimed to support the region’s natural ecosystem and preserve its unique flora.
2. Collaborative Support: Engaging Local Leaders and Community
The CSR drive received invaluable support from Mrs. Bhavani Karthi, the president of Urapakkam Panchayat, who actively participated in the event. The involvement of local villagers, Ticvic’s management team, and employee volunteers demonstrated a collective dedication to the cause. The collaborative efforts ensured the success of the tree plantation drive, fostering a sense of community engagement and responsibility.
3. Protecting Nature’s Gifts: Safeguarding Saplings from Animal Grazing
To safeguard the newly planted saplings, an iron wire column was installed around each tree, preventing animal grazing and ensuring their growth and survival. This measure highlights Ticvic’s commitment to nurturing the planted trees and protecting nature’s gifts for future generations. By taking steps to mitigate potential risks, Ticvic demonstrates its dedication to the long-term sustainability and environmental impact of the project.
The tree plantation drive near Urapakkam Lake stands as a testament to Ticvic’s unwavering dedication to creating a sustainable future. With the support of Mrs. Bhavani Karthi, Ticvic volunteers, and the people of Urapakkam, this event under the ‘Save the Earth’ campaign marked a significant milestone in fostering environmental consciousness and community involvement. Ticvic expresses heartfelt gratitude to all those involved in the project, recognizing their contributions towards a greener and healthier world.
